In a beautiful convergence of tradition, creativity, and tribute, Apeejay School, Nerul hosted the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav – a heartwarming cultural celebration to honour the 101st birth anniversary of Late Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Dr Stya Paul & the ‘first lady’ of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group. The event brought together students, teachers, and dignitaries to celebrate the life and vision of a woman whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
A tribute to a noble soul
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a spiritual moment that symbolised knowledge, positivity, and enlightenment. The dignitaries – Principal Mr. P. Subhash, Vice Principal Mrs. Preeti Gupta, Academic Coordinator Mrs. Shakuntala Singh, Primary Coordinator Mrs. Manisha Upadhyay, and Pre-primary Coordinator Mrs. Mrinalini Singh – paid floral tribute to Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, expressing their reverence and gratitude for her motherly warmth, nobility, and everlasting influence.

A series of vibrant cultural performances followed, with each segment reflecting the love and values that Smt. Paul ji stood for. The school choir, comprising melodious young voices from the middle school section, delivered a soulful musical piece capturing the timeless emotional bond between a mother and child. Their performance was not just an artistic delight but a moving reminder of the nurturing spirit that shapes young minds.
Next came a visually stunning dance performance that paid tribute to both Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji and her daughter, Ms. Sushma Paul Berlia. The piece traced the evolution of Indian dance – from its sacred origins in temple rituals to its lively expressions in modern settings. It featured classical temple dances, lively harvest and folk dances, and contemporary forms, beautifully portraying dance as a universal language that connects, heals, and inspires.

Art Exhibition:
An art exhibition put up by the school’s art team and students drew admiration from all. Centred around the theme “A Mother’s Impression”, the exhibits reflected how a mother’s love shapes a child’s identity and values. Each artwork was a visual testimony to the students’ creativity and understanding of emotional depth.

The programme concluded on a gracious note with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Sudripta Das, who extended heartfelt appreciation to the dignitaries, student performers, mentor teachers, volunteers, comperes, and the school’s IT support team. She acknowledged the collective effort that led to this uninterrupted, kaleidoscopic celebration of creativity and cultural excellence.
