FMM students gain real-world insights of stock trading
Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, students explore livestock trading and market analysis in an experiential learning visit to a reputed brokerage firm
The students of the Financial Market Management (FMM) stream at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, embarked on an enriching educational visit to The Traders Planet, a reputed brokerage firm owned by Mr Raghav Chadha. The experiential learning session offered them an invaluable opportunity to witness the fast-paced world of stock trading in real time.
The visit provided a deep dive into the workings of financial markets, including live stock trading, candle chart analysis, and stock evaluation techniques. Students observed how trading decisions are made based on data trends and market behavior, thus gaining a practical understanding of concepts discussed in the classroom.
Guided by the school Principal, Mr Yashpal Sharma, the visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its application in the real financial ecosystem. During the session, the students interacted with professional traders and analysts, learning about market trends, investment strategies, and risk management. They also got their queries addressed about market fluctuations, stock indices, and portfolio diversification.
Mr Chadha, extended a warm welcome and ensured a comfortable experience for the students, even treating them to delicious refreshments. His insights and practical demonstrations made complex financial concepts easy to grasp. The visit was meticulously organised by Ms Sahiba Juneja, Faculty of Financial Market, who emphasised the importance of hands-on exposure in developing financial acumen.
Students learnt how theoretical concepts like demand-supply dynamics, price movements, and market psychology operate in real-time trading scenarios. They understood the significance of informed decision-making, data interpretation, and emotional discipline in investing — skills that are essential for any aspiring finance professional.
