Apeejay School, Pitampura, students shine at the track and field
Young athletes bring medals home at the 1st Delhi State Kids Athletics Championship
Young athletes from Apeejay School, Pitampura, competed at the 1st Delhi State Kids Athletics Championship. Held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on September 1 and 2, 2026, the event tested students’ skills in track and field competitions.
Organised by Indian Athletes, the championship brought together participants from various age categories. The students competed in races, long jump, and softball throw events. Their performances reflected discipline, practice, and sporting spirit.
A strong start with gold
Shreyansh Verma of Class III-A secured gold in the Under 8 Boys 40-metre race. His achievement marked a strong result for the school and highlighted the promise shown by its young athletes.
Three students added silver medals to the tally. Rehaan Dua of Class V-C and Viaan Khanna of Class V-D won silver in the Under 10 Boys 60-metre race. Sharvil Bhudhiraja of Class V-A earned silver in the Under 10 Boys softball throw.
Success across track and field
The school also recorded several bronze medal performances. Ritisha Sharma of Class III-A won bronze in both the Under 8 Girls 40-metre race and long jump. Aavya Chhabra of Class IV-D secured bronze in the Under 10 Girls softball throw.
Aivam Sharma of Class V-B earned bronze in the Under 10 Girls 60-metre race. Meer Ghuriani of Class V-A finished with bronze in the Under 10 Boys 60-metre race. In the Under 12 Boys long jump, Hridyansh Garg of Class VI-C and Aanant Anand of Class VI-B also claimed bronze medals.
Building confidence through sport
The championship gave the students experience in state-level competition. It also reinforced the importance of focus, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Their performance brought recognition to Apeejay School, Pitampura, while motivating them to strengthen their abilities.
The school congratulated the young athletes and wished them continued success. Their results show how sporting opportunities can nurture confidence, determination, and the courage to keep improving.
