Parents of Mihika Chakraborty, a student at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld School, Greater Kailash – II, Sohini and Rahul researched many different schools in Delhi before shortlisting Apeejay. Mrs Chakraborty says, “Once we visited the school, we did not feel the need to look further. In addition to this, the admission process was smooth. My daughter started her classes from the very next day of our visit.” Read on, as she shares more. Edited excerpts from the interview:

What were the considerations while shortlisting a pre-school for your daughter?

We wanted Mihika to be part of a Group that is well-known. This was our priority. We may have to move to Europe in the coming few months due to work commitments. Therefore, we decided that she should be at par with educational institutions across the globe. In the future, we will return to India as well. So, to prepare the ground, is most crucial. We hope to make these transitions hassle-free for her.

Tell us more about your first visit at Apeejay, Rhythms.

We liked the ambience of the school. The teachers were extremely welcoming. And in no time, we were convinced.  We were informed about the curriculum of the school which is great. The methods of teaching-learning, innovative pedagogies and practices put in place are just right.

Has Mihika started going to the school? Is she enjoying there?

Yes. It has been a month and she is liking it. She has been able to adapt to the new environment, thanks to the teachers at Apeejay, Rhythms. Her class teacher is admirable. Every day, Mihika is excited to tell us how her time went in the school. The institution also provides meals and my daughter is eating it properly. She seems to be liking the preparation and therefore, she has inculcated the habit of finishing her food.

Any interesting anecdotes from her school days that come to mind?

The school is gearing up for its Annual Appreciation Day. In the event, Mihika will perform too along with her classmates. So, they have begun to practice for it. Recently, her teacher has sent us the dance video, so that Mihika can master the steps even at home. I observed that she is quite hooked onto the dance and the music. She loves to watch it over and over again! It seems that she wants to do well on stage and is trying to learn the steps by heart.

Your advice to fellow parents?

Early childhood education is crucial. It is a time when a child understands how to learn. And, learning should not feel like a burden. So, it is important that they (parents) get off on the right foot. To further their child’s growth, they should pick the right school.
