The pre-primary wing of Apeejay School, Saket was buzzing with excitement and festivity as the young learners came together to celebrate the colourful festival of Baisakhi. With cheerful faces, traditional Punjabi attire, and boundless energy, the children welcomed the harvest festival with open arms and big smiles.

The celebration had lively performances by the students, who showcased traditional Punjabi dance and music. Their rhythmic moves and vibrant costumes added charm and authenticity to the event, leaving educators beaming with pride. The tiny tots twirled and tapped their feet to the beat of folk tunes, embodying the spirit of Baisakhi with grace and enthusiasm.

Learning Through Stories

To help children understand the deeper meaning behind the celebration, engaging storytelling sessions were organised. Through age-appropriate tales, the students learned about the cultural significance of Baisakhi as both a harvest festival and the founding day of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. These stories served as a wonderful way to introduce young minds to India’s rich and diverse heritage.

Crafting Joy and Creativity

Adding a creative twist to the day, the little learners participated in colourful craft activities. Using paper, paints, and festive materials, they created Baisakhi-themed artwork. The classrooms came alive with these joyful creations, turning into mini art galleries that celebrated the beauty of tradition and imagination.

A Day to Remember

The entire atmosphere was filled with laughter, cheer, and a sense of togetherness. Teachers guided the students through every activity with care and encouragement, ensuring that each child enjoyed and absorbed the essence of the festival in a playful and meaningful manner.

Such cultural celebrations at Apeejay School, Saket not only bring joy but also instill values of respect, unity, and appreciation for India’s vibrant traditions. For the little ones, it was a day of learning through celebration—a beautiful blend of fun, festivity, and cultural awareness.
