Apeejay has always upheld the importance of helping people and has inculcated the same values in its students. An alumnus of the school, Dr Himanshu Sachdeva, therefore, went on to dedicate his life to the same cause, which led him to choose a career in medicine. At present, he is working as the director of Sure Path Labs. In an interview, the pathologist tells us more about his passion towards serving the community.

Edited excerpts:

*What was your time at Apeejay School, Noida, like? How did the school shape you?

I had a great learning experience at Apeejay. The teachers were cooperative and highly focused on making the students learn and develop skills, which helped all of us. The school offered us a great environment not just for academic progress but for honing skills through diverse co-curricular activities.

*What inspired you to pursue medicine?

I love to help people and medicine is the one field that allows me to do it on a regular basis.

*You have been associated with Sure Path Labs for more than a decade. What inspired you?

My passion to serve the community and conduct my duties as a responsible individual in society inspired me.

*Can you briefly tell us about the company?

We at Sure Path Labs have catered to more than four lakh patients. We believe in helping and serving people. We provide molecular and non-molecular lab test services across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Chandigarh.

*Home tests became popular amid the pandemic. Do the logistics put excess pressure on a path lab? If yes, how do you cope?

As doctors, we learn about coping with pressure from day one. The issue is loss of life, which needs to be prevented any day and every day.

*A word of advice for students.

Follow the school motto: “Soaring High is My Nature” and you will surely achieve success.
