Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi, celebrated Founder’s Day, paying tribute to the vision and enduring legacy of its founders. The occasion brought together the institute’s academic community to reflect on the values that continue to shape the Apeejay ethos and its commitment to education, creativity, and social responsibility.
The programme was compered by Mahima Boura and Sneha Suman, who conducted the proceedings with poise and enthusiasm. The ceremony began with an invocation by Lavanya Verma, followed by a heartfelt Shradhanjali, during which the Registrar, Academic Coordinator, faculty members, and staff paid tribute to the departed souls.
A classical dance performance, Saraswati Vandana, by Aishani Roy invoked the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, symbolising wisdom, learning, and creativity. The spiritual atmosphere was further enriched by a soulful bhajan presented by Veer Suri, Kajal Dosadh, Pradnya Mayur Chandorkar, and Sneha Choudhary.

Addressing the gathering, Ms Satinder Kaur, Academic Coordinator, reiterated the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, creative exploration, and the holistic development of students. She emphasised the importance of preparing aspiring designers to navigate professional challenges with competence, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
The gathering also heard the message of Ms Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education, which was read by Ms Garima J. Saini. The message reflected on the founders’ vision and its continuing influence on the institute’s educational philosophy, reinforcing the importance of nurturing talent while instilling strong values.

A key highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values to Devansh Panchal and Mahima Boura. The recognition underscored the role of empathy, integrity, and compassion in shaping individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society.
The programme also featured the felicitation of meritorious students for their academic achievements, acknowledging their dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence.
