Apeejay school, Noida is a synonym for the word encouragement. They always guide each and every student in their progress and it is this one to one detailed approach that does the wonders. The school recently celebrated the Annual Appreciation Day for students across classes 3-5. The event began with a green welcome to the Chief Guest, Ms. Richa Jain, a renowned Kathak dancer. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to invoke the blessings of the almighty by the dignitaries.
Principal, Mr. AK Sharma formally welcomed the chief guest and the august gathering which comprised the parents and grandparents of the students. He presented a comprehensive report of the achievements of the school-students during the academic session of 2022-23.
The Chief Guest in her address appreciated the efforts of the management and teachers for nurturing the uniqueness of each student. She also went on to congratulate the students for their growth.
This was followed by the cultural programme, which began on an auspicious note with a melodious invocation song. From there on the prize distribution ceremony commenced wherein the meritorious students were awarded certificates and trophies for their outstanding achievements across various competitions that were held throughout the year. The auditorium reverberated with loud cheers by the guests as the students were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Principal alongside Education Director, Mrs. Ritu Kohli and Primary In charge, Mrs. Smriti Samuel.
The ceremony was followed by a captivating adaptation of the play, ‘Paduka Aavishkar’, based on the celebrated play ‘Joota Aavishkar’ by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Students meticulously highlighted the contribution of common people for the betterment of society. Students energetically portrayed the enthusiasm of the subjects who were trying hard to resolve the issue their king was facing. The play left a lasting effect on the minds of the viewers.
The cultural extravaganza was an amalgamation of various performing arts such as singing, free style dance and drama. The students dressed in their colourful costumes performed perfectly with a lot of verve and enthusiasm. The event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the primary school Head Boy, Shourya P. Agnihotri. The entire event was a roaring success which was appreciated by one and all.
