A student paying tribute to late Mrs Paul

Apeejay Svran Global, Faridabad, paid a heartfelt tribute to Mrs Rajeshwari Paul, wife of late Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay’s founder chairman, and mother of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, co-promoter and President Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, chairman Apeejay Education and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, on the occasion of her punyatithi (death anniversary), May 12, 2022.

The school principal Ms Priti Wason, students, and other staff members paid a floral tribute to the “first lady” of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and sang soulful bhajans to honour her. The principal talked about the gentle and warm nature of Mrs Rajeshwari Paul, fondly called ‘daadi ji’, and how she was instrumental in taking forward the mission of Apeejay. An epitome of love and affection, she was a motherly figure who brought faith and hope to the lives of others in the Apeejay family.

All members of the school offered their prayers and expressed their gratitude for her. They also pledged to uphold the values she exemplified—compassion, generosity, and large-heartedness.

In Apeejay School Model Town, Jalandhar, students organised a prayer meet to pay their respects to Mrs Paul. Students sang bhajans and shabad. School principal Ms Sinia Sajith paid a floral tribute while the other teachers and students also paid homage.

The life of late Mrs Paul was indeed one which had manifested its worthiness in every manner. In a true sense, she was the ideal life partner of Dr Paul. She was a noble soul whose role as a wife, mother and grandmother was a constant source of support, guidance, and inspiration for all. Her profound life with the highest ideals has forever been the pillar of strength for the Apeejay fraternity.

At Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, a senior student started the prayer meeting by reminiscing about Mrs Paul. Principal Mr Sandeep Kathuria and other staff members paid a floral tribute. Children sang devotional songs under the guidance of teachers. Addressing the audience, Mr Kathuria gave a heartfelt speech on Mrs Paul’s invaluable contribution to people’s lives. Vice Principal Ms Shalini Agarwal also paid her homage. The event concluded with a melodious Ram Dhun (a devotional song)  sung by the students.

“An act of kindness echoes endlessly.”

“Smt Rajeshwari Paul was the epitome of compassion and empathy. People remember her for her kind-hearted and generous nature. Her love for performing arts was immense. She was of the opinion that co-scholastic aptitude is equally important to maintain the balance in life and one should always try to explore that innate talent within oneself. Her tremendous love for art and culture brought Apeejay College of Fine Arts for higher studies into its existence. She has touched millions of lives and we will keep following the righteous path she has shown us to evolve as a better human being.”

-Priti Wason, Principal, Apeejay Svran Global School

“ ‘It does not matter how long you live, but how well you do it.’-Martin Luther King Jr. Mrs Rajeshwari Paul nurtured and cared for the entire Apeejay family as a mother would take care of hers.”

-Sinia Sajith, Principal, Apeejay School, Model Town
