Educational excursions are more than just trips, they are gateways to experiential learning, sparking curiosity, fostering teamwork, and bridging classroom lessons with real-world experiences. To ignite their sense of wonder and adventure, Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park students enthusiastically declared, ‘Goa, here we come’! embarking on a journey that was as thrilling as it was enlightening.
Students from the MYP and DP set off on an unforgettable CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) and SAA (Service As Action) trip to the beaches and vibrant culture of Goa. This experiential learning journey perfectly combined adventure, cultural immersion, and community service, leaving the students enriched and inspired.

“At Apeejay’s IB School, experiential learning is at the heart of our philosophy. The CAS/SAA trip to Goa offered our students invaluable exposure to culture, community, and collaboration, fostering empathy and global awareness. Such engagements reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing principled and compassionate leaders,” Ms Neha Sharma, Vice-principal of the school shared.
The trip began with a sense of excitement as students visited the iconic Fort Aguada, a 17th-century marvel overlooking the Arabian Sea. A stroll on the lively Calangute Beach followed, where the rhythm of waves echoed their enthusiasm. The immersive experience continued with a visit to the Big Foot Museum, which brought Goa’s traditional lifestyle and heritage alive through its captivating exhibits.

A spiritual retreat awaited the students at the stunning Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site housing St. Francis Xavier’s relics. The serene Mangeshi Temple, with its intricate architecture, provided a glimpse into Goa’s religious diversity and artistic finesse.
No trip to Goa is complete without indulging in its vibrant culinary offerings. Students savoured authentic Goan cuisine, a delightful mix of flavours that reflected the state’s rich cultural tapestry. The adventure quotient soared with a thrilling boat ride to spot playful dolphins in their natural habitat, a memory etched in their hearts. The icing on the cake was an enchanting cruise on the River Mandovi, where students danced under the starlit sky, celebrating the unity and joy that travel brings.
The trip wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was a journey of self-discovery. Students seamlessly fulfilled their CAS and SAA objectives through collaborative activities, reflective discussions, and hands-on learning.

As they returned home, brimming with gratitude, the students carried more than souvenirs — they brought back cherished memories, broadened horizons, and a deeper appreciation for India’s cultural and historical diversity.
