Students of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld organised a virtual event: ‘Aglow- a light of hope’ on October 30. The event included a stage play performed by the tiny tots of the school. The theme for stage play was: ‘Life on land’, a part of Sustainable development goals project (SDG-15).

Children played agents of change and enlightened all about the perils of deforestation. They also highlighted the fact that one can learn from every form of life including ‘creepy crawlers’ consisting of ants, beetles, ladybirds among others. Children enacted the role of various animals in the dance drama and spread the message of living life in the lap of nature. They also advocated for environmentally healthy habits such as use of paper bags.

Ms. Neil Jarial, a renowned storyteller and founder of ‘The Magic of Books’ presided over as the chief guest for the event.  Mr. Avijeet Kumar, Chief operating officer, Charities Aids Foundation, was the guest of honour for the event.

Ms. Jarial highlighted the importance of storytelling and its crucial role in imparting necessary value systems to young children.  Mr. Kumar was impressed with the mesmerising performances of the students. He mentioned that the Apeejay Group has always been a pioneer in the field of value-based education.

Dr. V.S. Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education Group and Ms. Anita Paul, Senior Education Officer, Apeejay Education Group, attended the event virtually.

Dr. Garg expressed his delight at the adorable performances by the tiny tots. He also appreciated the unremitting efforts of the parents of the students, in making the event a resounding success. He further mentioned about the beautiful amalgamation of scholastic and extra-curricular activities at Rhythms Kinderworld School to develop the social, intellectual and moral skills of students.

Ms Anita Paul appreciated the performances of the little radiant stars. She further appreciated the use of technology in putting up the virtual programme. Ms Paul emphasised on the importance of storytelling in the holistic development of toddlers. She mentioned that it builds imagination, grooms the personality and sharpens memory and oratory skills.

Ms. Komal Nathani, Headmistress, Rhythms Kinderworld, thanked the management for their constant encouragement during the challenging times of the pandemic. She appreciated the performances by the children and applauded their parents for their unconditional love and support.

“A light of hope; it radiates from your heart and the world gets a new face. Some days you would be the light for others and some days you would need light from others. As long as there is light, there is hope. Hope is being able to see the light despite all the darkness around. Let’s Aglow the world with a light of hope and dazzle this beautiful world with love, compassion & joy”
