Recently, Apeejay School, Noida, proudly conducted the Prefectorial Board Elections 2025–26 for the Senior Wing, offering students a dynamic platform to develop leadership, accountability, and democratic values through a meticulously structured and engaging election process.
The elections for the Senior Wing witnessed an enthusiastic and vibrant participation of students across Classes IX to XII. Conducted over two action-packed days, the process not only empowered students to lead but also instilled in them a deeper understanding of democratic practices.
The process commenced with interested candidates submitting detailed nomination forms, marking the beginning of their leadership journey. This was followed by two rigorous rounds of interviews conducted by a panel of teachers and school leaders. The interviews assessed candidates on parameters such as communication skills, leadership aptitude, clarity of vision, and a sense of responsibility.


The day was designated as the official Campaigning Day for the coveted posts of Head Boy, Head Girl, and House Prefects representing the four houses. The day began with candidates presenting their manifestos through the school’s PA system from the Senior Hexagon, clearly articulating their vision and proposed initiatives. Vibrant posters, banners, and slogans added colour to the campus, reflecting the high-energy campaigning spirit. Class-to-class canvassing allowed candidates to engage directly with students, building rapport and answering queries, further enriching the electoral experience.


The following day, was voting day. A milestone in itself, the election was conducted digitally through the Moodle platform, showcasing the school’s progressive use of technology. With meticulous planning and assistance from the Computer Science faculty and class teachers, the voting process ran smoothly and efficiently, concluding within two and a half hours. Post-voting, students’ fingers were inked as a symbolic gesture of having cast their votes, mirroring the real-world electoral process.
The entire election exercise was conducted under the keen supervision of the Principal, Vice-principals, and teachers, who offered constant support and guidance. They observed and evaluated candidates throughout, ensuring the process remained transparent and fair. The immediate tabulation of results added to the excitement, maintaining the momentum and energy of the event.












Overall, the Prefectorial Board Elections served as a valuable platform for student empowerment. It successfully fostered leadership skills, encouraged civic participation, and laid the foundation for responsible decision-making, truly reflecting the spirit of democratic engagement at Apeejay School, Noida.
