Students of this Mumbai school shine at ‘Saevus eco-achievers’

Participants from Apeejay School, Kharghar, bag award at the national-level quiz competition

Izaan Imtiaz Mulla of Class 7 C, Maanyata  Anomolu of Class 6 A and Arjun Raje of Class 5 A made their school proud by winning the ‘The SAEVUS Eco-Achievers’ quiz Competition, held at Navi Mumbai. The competition was organised by the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Samaritans, along with the country’s foremost Nature and Wildlife Magazine, Saevus.

The national-level, middle-school quiz competition aimed at developing a strong environmental awareness and consciousness among children. Held at the Indian Marine Engineering Institute (IMEI), Nerul, the event was attended by many school students.

The first round was the written exam, out of which, the top 6 teams were shortlisted for the finals. The finale round comprised multiple round questions, rapid-fire, audio-visual rounds, etc.

On winning the competition, Izaan Imtiaz Mulla said, “Inquisitiveness, persistence and teamwork ultimately lead us to success.”

All the children participated with lots of enthusiasm and the activity helped them to sensitise towards conserving wildlife and loving animals.
