For Dhruvv Sheel, the decision to enrol his daughter Ambika at Apeejay School, Noida was rooted in a reputation he’d known since his own school days in the 1990s, long before he ever became a parent himself. With Ambika now in Class 1, Section D, Dhruvv shares why that legacy, combined with practical convenience, made the decision easy and the confidence he’s watched grow in his daughter since.

What made you consider Apeejay for your daughter?

Apeejay is a brand name in itself, and this isn’t something we just discovered recently. Even during my schooling, Apeejay had a name and brand. That legacy is really the main reason we chose to put our daughter there. The second, more practical factor was distance, the School is barely a 10 to 15-minute drive from our house. Beyond these two considerations, we didn’t really need to weigh anything else. We simply wanted our daughter to be part of the Apeejay family.

Are you satisfied with the quality of education at Apeejay?

Yes, I am — quite satisfied. What I heard and expected from Apeejay, those things are met. I am happy that I made the decision to select the School for my daughter.

Do you find the teachers supportive and approachable, both toward parents and students?

Absolutely, and I’ve found this to be consistently true. She has got some of the exceptional teachers. During Ambika’s time in KG, she learned so much from the teachers’ guidance, including developing a genuine love for dance and a willingness to participate in various school activities. Through all of this, we saw a real surge in our daughter’s confidence. I think that’s exactly what every school should be doing, and I’m genuinely happy that Apeejay places real importance on these kinds of activities.

Do you feel the school is safe and secure?

Yes, I think the school is very safe and secure. I’ve never had any concerns regarding school security at any point.

When it comes to extracurricular activities, trips, or competitions — does your daughter participate out of genuine interest?

The enthusiasm comes entirely from within her. I also think it has a lot to do with how much confidence the teacher places in a child. When a teacher genuinely believes a child can perform well in a particular activity, it builds real confidence in that child. And honestly, I think that’s exactly what’s happening at Apeejay.

Overall, how would you assess her development — personality, academics, and sports combined?

I think it’s going really well. The curve is consistently on an upward slide. It’s not dipping at all, only moving forward. My daughter is happy, and she’s grown into a genuinely confident child.
