New Beginnings, Renewed Energy: This Jalandhar Institute organises havan to mark session 2026–27
The ceremony invokes blessings for a harmonious, purposeful and successful academic year.
Marking the beginning of the new academic session 2026–27 with faith, gratitude and renewed enthusiasm, the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, organised a traditional Havan ceremony on its campus premises. The spiritually enriching occasion was held to seek the grace and blessings of the Almighty for a fruitful and successful academic year.
The ceremony brought together students, faculty members and staff from various programmes, creating an atmosphere of devotion and positivity. Students of MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, B.Com (H), and B.Tech CSE participated in the chanting of sacred shlokas, lending a sense of collective reverence to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, reflected on the significance of beginning the new academic session with prayer and gratitude. He said, “This prayer service is organised to offer our gratitude to the Almighty and seek His blessings as we commence the new session. I believe such rituals purify our souls, cleanse us of all negativity, and inspire us to begin afresh with renewed enthusiasm.”
His message underscored the importance of approaching a new academic year with a positive mindset and a willingness to embrace fresh opportunities. Dr Bagga also emphasised the need for the harmonious development of students, highlighting that education should contribute not only to academic progress but also to the overall growth and well-being of young learners.
The ceremony was conducted by renowned Acharya Anand Prakash, who led the participants through the sacred rituals and chanting. The serene atmosphere encouraged everyone present to pause, reflect and seek inner strength as they embarked upon another year of learning and growth.
The students actively participated in the chanting of shlokas and expressed the significance of the occasion, stating, “As we bow before the Almighty in reverence, we are filled with a sense of strength and rejuvenation.” Their words reflected the spirit with which the new academic session was welcomed—one marked by hope, positivity and renewed determination.
The Havan also served as an opportunity for members of the AIMETC community to come together beyond classrooms and academic schedules. Such collective observances reinforce a sense of belonging while providing a reflective start to the academic journey.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad among faculty members and students, bringing the auspicious gathering to a warm and positive close.
With prayers, gratitude and renewed energy, AIMETC welcomed the 2026–27 academic session, setting the tone for a year of learning, personal development, meaningful experiences and new achievements.
