Choosing the right management institute can play a defining role in shaping a student’s professional future. For Ushna Dwivedi, a graduate of the PGDM Batch of 2026 at Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, the decision to join ASM was guided by the institution’s strong legacy and values. Specialising in Human Resources and Marketing, Ushna recently secured placement as an HR Executive at Unimrkt Research. In this interview, she reflects on her learning journey, the support she received from faculty members, and her aspirations for the future.

Why did you choose Apeejay School of Management for your management education?

Apeejay School of Management is an institution with a strong legacy, built on enduring principles and values. What attracted me most was its reputation for nurturing not only competent professionals but also responsible individuals. I believed that studying in such an environment would help me develop both professionally and personally, and that has certainly been my experience.

How would you describe your learning journey at ASM?

My learning journey at ASM has been both enriching and transformative. The programme provided a balanced blend of academic learning, practical exposure, and industry interaction. Through classroom discussions, projects, presentations, and various co-curricular activities, I gained a deeper understanding of management concepts and their real-world applications. The experience helped me improve my communication skills, analytical thinking, and confidence. Most importantly, it encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace continuous learning.

Q. How did ASM and the faculty members help you prepare for your professional journey?

The faculty members at ASM have been extremely supportive and patient throughout my journey. They ensured that students developed a strong understanding of both basic and advanced concepts. It is important to have clarity on foundational principles before moving on to more complex ideas, and the teachers invested significant time and effort in helping us achieve that. Their guidance, encouragement, and willingness to address every query played a crucial role in shaping my academic and professional readiness.

What role did ASM play in preparing you for placements?

ASM provided a learning environment that focused on overall development. Through classroom learning, industry interactions, workshops, and skill-building activities, I was able to develop the confidence required to face recruitment processes. The exposure and guidance received during the programme prepared me to present myself effectively and approach opportunities with confidence.

 What are your future aspirations?

My aspiration is to continue growing—not only as an HR professional but also as a better human being. I believe success is not measured solely by professional achievements but also by personal growth, values, and the positive impact we create in the lives of others. I look forward to learning from every experience and evolving both professionally and personally.

What message would you like to share with current students?

Stay curious, remain patient with your progress, and never stop learning. Every experience, challenge, and opportunity contributes to your growth. Trust the process, work consistently, and make the most of the support and guidance available to you. Success follows those who are willing to learn and persevere.
