Marking the beginning of a new academic session after the summer break, Apeejay School, Saket organised an enriching and rejuvenating workshop for its faculty titled “Nurturing the Nurture – The Secret to Happy Teachers.” The interactive session, conducted by renowned facilitator Ms. Eshu Madan, highlighted the importance of teachers’ well-being, emotional resilience, and self-care, reinforcing the belief that happy educators create positive and inspiring learning environments.
The thoughtfully designed workshop provided teachers with an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves before embarking on another academic year of shaping young minds. Recognising that educators often dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the growth and well-being of their students, the session encouraged them to also prioritise their own physical, emotional, and mental health.
Through a series of engaging activities, Ms. Madan guided participants on a journey of self-reflection and personal awareness. One of the key activities, the Burnout Self-Assessment Tracker, enabled teachers to evaluate their stress levels, recognise early signs of burnout, and identify areas that required greater attention. The exercise encouraged participants to reflect honestly on their emotional well-being and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Another impactful activity, the Ultimate Wheel of Life, invited teachers to assess different dimensions of their personal and professional lives, including health, relationships, career satisfaction, emotional wellness, and personal growth. The exercise helped participants identify areas where they felt fulfilled and those that needed greater balance, inspiring them to adopt practical steps towards holistic well-being.

Throughout the session, Ms. Madan emphasised that acknowledging and accepting one’s emotions is not a sign of weakness but an essential aspect of personal growth and resilience. She encouraged teachers to embrace their feelings with compassion, reminding them that self-awareness is the first step towards building emotional strength and long-term happiness.
The workshop also featured meaningful discussions on stress management, mindfulness, and the importance of self-care in the teaching profession. Participants explored practical strategies that could be incorporated into their daily routines to maintain emotional balance, improve productivity, and enhance overall well-being.
Teachers actively participated in the activities and shared their reflections, making the session highly interactive and engaging. The exchange of experiences fostered a sense of community and mutual support, reminding everyone that caring for oneself is fundamental to effectively caring for others.
The workshop concluded on an uplifting and optimistic note, leaving the faculty members refreshed, motivated, and inspired to begin the new academic session with renewed enthusiasm and positivity. Equipped with practical tools for emotional well-being and a deeper appreciation for self-care, the teachers looked forward to nurturing their students with greater energy, empathy, and resilience.
By organising such meaningful initiatives, Apeejay School, Saket continues to reaffirm its commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also the holistic well-being of its educators, recognising that empowered and happy teachers are the foundation of a thriving learning community.
