Reinforcing its commitment to experiential education and holistic student development, the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, celebrated its students’ successful participation in the prestigious Yuva Sangam initiative. This immersive educational experience enabled students to move beyond classrooms and textbooks, offering them an opportunity to experience India’s rich cultural heritage, diversity, and unity firsthand.
Organised to strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Yuva Sangam encourages young minds to explore different regions of the country, interact with people from diverse communities, and gain a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural richness. Through this unique experiential learning journey, AIMETC students proudly represented the institution while embracing new perspectives, forging meaningful friendships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The visit proved to be much more than an educational excursion. Students explored heritage sites, interacted with people from varied cultural backgrounds, and participated in activities that promoted mutual understanding, collaboration, and respect for diversity. Every interaction became an opportunity to learn, and every experience contributed to their personal and professional growth.
Reflecting on the initiative’s significance, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, emphasised the importance of learning through experience. He said, “Learning goes beyond books when it is experienced. Through Yuva Sangam, our students embarked on an inspiring journey of cultural exchange, meaningful connections, and lifelong memories. From exploring heritage sites and interacting with diverse communities to sharing laughter, experiences, and new perspectives, every moment was a step towards becoming more globally aware, confident, and compassionate individuals.”
His words resonated with the institution’s core philosophy: education should prepare students not only with academic knowledge but also with the values, awareness, and interpersonal skills required to thrive in an interconnected world.

The Yuva Sangam experience offered students an invaluable opportunity to witness India’s diversity firsthand while understanding the importance of national integration. By engaging with peers from different states and cultures, they developed stronger communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and cultural sensitivity—qualities increasingly valued in today’s global society.
The initiative also highlighted the importance of experiential learning in shaping well-rounded individuals. Beyond sightseeing, students participated in meaningful cultural exchanges, shared experiences with fellow participants, and developed friendships that transcended geographical boundaries. Such interactions helped them appreciate different traditions, languages, lifestyles, and viewpoints while strengthening the spirit of unity in diversity.

At AIMETC, learning extends far beyond conventional classroom teaching. The institution consistently encourages students to participate in programmes that foster leadership, confidence, social responsibility, and lifelong learning. The Yuva Sangam initiative perfectly reflected this vision by providing an enriching platform where education, culture, and human connection converged.
The successful participation of AIMETC students in Yuva Sangam stands as a testament to the institute’s dedication to nurturing globally aware, socially responsible, and culturally sensitive individuals. As the students returned with unforgettable experiences and broadened perspectives, they carried cherished memories and a deeper understanding of India’s vibrant cultural fabric and the values of unity, compassion, and shared learning.
