Recently, Apeejay School, Saket, organised an engaging video conferencing session on Artificial Intelligence, bringing students into a thoughtful discussion on a subject that is becoming part of everyday life. The session connected students of Apeejay School, Saket, with students from Lubny Specialist School 6, Ukraine. It gave them a shared platform to exchange ideas, listen to different viewpoints, and understand how AI is shaping the way people learn, work, and communicate.
The discussion moved beyond a basic introduction to technology. Students reflected on when they had used AI in daily life and what the outcome had been. Their responses helped place the topic in a familiar context, making it easier to see how AI already supports routine tasks and decision-making.

One of the key parts of the session focused on a deeper question: What makes us human, and could AI ever be one of us? This opened a wider conversation on human qualities, thought, creativity, emotion, and judgement. The exchange encouraged students to think carefully about the difference between intelligent machines and human understanding.
The participants also discussed the benefits and risks of using AI. They spoke about how AI can make tasks faster and more convenient. At the same time, they considered concerns such as overdependence on technology, privacy issues, and the possible misuse of AI. These points made the conversation balanced and meaningful, as students looked at both promise and responsibility.

The interaction also highlighted the value of global collaboration in education. By speaking with students from another country, learners were able to see that questions around AI are not limited to one classroom or one community.
The session proved to be informative and interactive. More importantly, it helped them recognise that AI must be understood with both curiosity and care as it continues to influence modern life.
