The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the Class 12 Board exam results for 2026 in the coming weeks, although an official date has not yet been confirmed. As per recent updates, the results are likely to follow the usual timeline, with past trends indicating a release in May.
Over 16 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams this year, which were conducted between February and April across thousands of centres in India and abroad. The evaluation process is currently underway, and the board is expected to complete it shortly. Once declared, students will be able to access their results through the official websites cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in.
Students can check their scores using their roll number, school number, and admit card details. In addition to the official websites, results will also be available via DigiLocker and the UMANG app, offering multiple access points to ease traffic during peak hours.
The Board is expected to release key statistics along with the results, including overall pass percentage, gender-wise performance, and region-wise data. Last year, the overall pass percentage stood above 87 per cent, and a similar trend is anticipated this year, although final figures will only be confirmed at the time of declaration.
Schools have advised students to rely only on official platforms and avoid misinformation circulating on social media. The board has also clarified that no toppers list will be released, in line with its policy to reduce unhealthy competition.
The upcoming result announcement remains a crucial milestone for students, as it will determine eligibility for higher education admissions across universities in India and abroad.
