NTA to start JEE Main Session one application soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the application process for the JEE Main session one for the academic year 2027. Along with the registration, the Agency will release the detailed notification and other modalities for the national level engineering exam. The application will be started at the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

NTA conducts JEE Main twice a year- January and April. Students who have cleared Class 12th are eligible to sit for both the sessions. Once the Main exam is cleared, aspirants will then appear for JEE Advanced, which is held by Indian Institutes of Technology. The results for the Advanced will ensure students seat in IITs, while results of Main, assure students seat in NIT and IIITs. 

As a part of its restructure plan, NTA has announced the JEE Main 2027 exam dates for the January session. NTA JEE Main January 2027 session exam will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30.

JEE Main will be held in 13 languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. In the last academic year, 26 candidates scored 100 percentiles in the JEE Main January and April session exams.

NTA will also release the JEE Main 2027 information bulletin on its official website. The bulletin is expected to include details related to exam fees, admit card, exam dates, pattern, marking scheme among others.

Following the last year pattern, it can be expected that the fee for JEE Main session one for unreserved male candidates can be Rs 1000. For male candidates under Gen-EWS or OBC category can be Rs 900. On the other hand, for female candidates of the Unreserved, Gen-EWS, and OBC category can be Rs 800, while for SC, ST, PwD and Transgender category candidates, it can be Rs 500.
