I’ve been practising karate since I was five years old, and it’s been an incredible journey. I have recently been certified as a SHO DAN, Black Belt by the Shotokan Martial Arts Federation of India, which feels amazing.
How did you take the plunge into this sport?
My journey into this sport began when my parents enrolled me in a local dojo, hoping it would help me develop better focus and discipline. What started as a simple extracurricular activity soon became a passion, and I found myself deeply committed to learning and growing in the sport.

What is your training regime?
My typical training regime consists of one hour of training, three days a week, focusing on techniques, conditioning exercises, and regular fitness and strength training.
What’s the most challenging part of karate?
One of the most challenging parts is mastering complex techniques under pressure, but I’ve learnt to overcome it by consistent practice, patience, and breaking down techniques into smaller parts.
How did your school support your journey?
The school has been incredibly supportive and encouraging, that have helped me balance academics and karate. Through karate, I’ve learnt valuable life skills like discipline, focus, confidence, and self-control. It’s not just a sport, but a way of life that has honed my personality and taught me perseverance and resilience. I’ve also learnt to respect others.

How has karate honed your personality?
It has become an integral part of who I am, and I’m grateful for the journey so far. As I continue to grow and compete, I’m excited to see what the future holds. Karate has given me a platform to challenge myself, push my limits, and achieve my goals. I’m proud to be a part of this community and look forward to inspiring others with my journey. With the support of my family, coaches, and school, I’m confident that I’ll continue to excel in karate and make the most of this incredible journey.
