Say No To Single-Use Plastic

Single-use plastic stays where it’s thrown,
Embedded in the soil long after we’ve grown.
Clogging the oceans, choking the innocent lives,
A call for help before more danger arrives.
Dirtying the beaches, poisoning the ground,
A careless mistake that’s everywhere found.
Creatures confused by the waste we discard,
Suffering quietly, life becoming hard.
This disaster is made for a moment’s need,
Yet remains forever like a stubborn seed.
It chokes the soil where crops should grow,
Leaving the fields with yields too low.
Let’s make better choices to bring a change,
Acting wisely with things within our range.
Burying or burning adds to the cost,
Pollution spreads and green lands are lost.
Lets avoid plastic and use jute bags,
Recycling the clothes which turn into rags.
Choose better habits, reduce the cost,
Before our planet is harmed and lost.
Sort your waste and recycle well,
Keep streets and drains free from smell.
Avoid wasting excessive food packaging,
Cutting on the waste that keeps on gathering.
So let us choose with care each day,
In what we choose and carelessly throw away.
Say no to single-use plastic, and take a stand,
To heal the Earth and protect our land.
