The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has officially commenced the Round 5 counselling process for GATE COAP 2025. Candidates who have qualified the GATE 2025 examination and registered on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) can now participate in the option filling process, which will remain open until June 14, 2025.

As per the guidelines, Round 5 offers candidates only two options: ‘Accept and Freeze’ or ‘Reject’. This streamlined selection ensures that candidates finalise their decisions regarding admission to postgraduate engineering programs in participating institutes, including the IITs and IISC.

The COAP counselling process comprises several key stages: Registration, option filling, seat allotment, document verification, and reporting to the allotted institute. Candidates must visit the official COAP portal at gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025 to complete their registration and fill out their choices. Once the choices are locked, document verification will follow. Based on verified documents and the availability of seats, the seat allotment results will be declared.

Earlier, Round 4 of the COAP counselling concluded on June 8, 2025. With each round, the authority releases the opening and closing ranks, helping candidates gauge their admission chances and make informed decisions.

Candidates are advised to read the detailed information brochure available on the COAP website for comprehensive guidelines and timelines. After seat allotment, the selected candidates must report to their allotted institutes within the stipulated time.

For real-time updates and further instructions, aspirants must regularly check the official website. The GATE COAP 2025 counselling plays a crucial role in securing admission into premier engineering institutes in India, and timely participation is key to securing a desired seat.
