Celebrating International Dance Day with grandeur and creativity

Students of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, mesmerise the audience with vibrant performances, celebrating expression and the unifying spirit of dance

A vibrant celebration of rhythm, expression, and artistic talent marked the observance of International Dance Day at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. The school campus came alive with energy and enthusiasm as students from various classes participated wholeheartedly in a grand cultural programme that beautifully highlighted the universal language of dance.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the gathering, creating an atmosphere of excitement and elegance. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, positivity, and the spirit of creativity. A thoughtfully curated presentation on the significance of International Dance Day, accompanied by an engaging video, enlightened the audience about the power of dance as a medium of expression that transcends barriers of language and culture. 

The highlight of the celebration was an array of captivating dance performances presented category-wise by students across different classes. Each performance reflected remarkable confidence, creativity, coordination, and passion, leaving the audience thoroughly mesmerised.

Students of Group A (Classes I and II) charmed everyone with their innocence, enthusiasm, and lively performances. Diti Budhia and Kritika secured the first position, while Drishti and Japjit bagged the second position. Amit Kumar stood third, and Jaiveer received the consolation prize.

Group B (Classes III to V) showcased energetic and well-synchronised performances that won loud applause from the audience. Diya secured the first position, followed by Mannat and Nehmat in second place. Diya Soni and Angel achieved the third position, while Sarthak and Taranpreet Kaur received the consolation prize.

The performances by Group C (Classes VI to VIII) displayed creativity, grace, and impressive stage presence. Guneet Gupta secured the first position, while Asreet and Eknoor Kaur stood second. Sukhmanpreet Kaur bagged the third position for her outstanding performance.

Group D (Classes XI and XII) captivated the audience with graceful, confident, and expressive performances that reflected dedication and artistic excellence. Avijot Kaur secured the first position, while Gurmehak and Manya Mohan stood second.

The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the school Principal, Mr AK Sharma, who appreciated the efforts and dedication of the students and teachers. He emphasised the importance of co-curricular activities in nurturing creativity, confidence, and holistic development among students. The Vice-principal, Mrs Loveleen Bagga, proposed the ‘vote of thanks’ and applauded the collective contribution of the students and staff in making the celebration a memorable success. 

The celebration truly embodied the essence of dance, spreading joy, fostering unity, and celebrating talent in its most expressive form.
