A vibrant dance competition celebrates talent, creativity, and cultural expression through electrifying student performances at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg
International Dance Day at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and artistic fervour through a vibrant Solo Dance Competition. It brought together talent, creativity, and cultural expression on one stage. The event witnessed energetic participation from students across various classes, transforming the school campus into a lively arena of rhythm, grace, and celebration.
The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the warm welcome of the esteemed judges, Dr Mickey Verma, Professor, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, and Mr Hitin Khurana, a renowned choreographer and fitness trainer, along with school Principal Mr Yashpal Sharma, Vice-principal, Ms Aarti Shorey Bhatt, teachers, and students. Their presence added immense value and inspiration to the occasion. The celebration aimed to honour dance as a powerful medium of expression that transcends boundaries and connects hearts.
Students enthralled the audience with captivating solo performances across a wide range of dance forms, including Classical, Contemporary, Folk, Fusion, and Western styles. Each performance reflected immense dedication, creativity, and confidence, while beautifully portraying emotions, stories, and cultural traditions through movement and music. The participants displayed remarkable stage presence and technical finesse, leaving the audience mesmerised throughout the event.
The competition not only provided a platform for young dancers to showcase their artistic abilities but also encouraged self-expression, discipline, and appreciation for diverse cultural art forms. The atmosphere resonated with excitement and applause as every participant brought unique energy and passion to the stage.
One of the most memorable highlights of the celebration was the electrifying guest performance by Mr Hitin Khurana, which filled the auditorium with excitement and admiration. His dynamic performance served as a source of motivation for aspiring dancers and added grandeur to the occasion.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by Dr Verma. He applauded the students for their confidence, dedication, and artistic spirit. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where winners were felicitated for their exceptional performances and technical excellence.
