The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Math Board Exam for 2025 is scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2025, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The important chapters to focus on for the exam include Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, and Arithmetic Progression. Additionally, topics such as Triangles, Coordinate Geometry, Introduction to Trigonometry, Application of Trigonometry, Circles, and Areas Related to Circles are crucial for thorough preparation. These chapters form the foundation of the exam and require careful revision and practice.

According to Anju Loomba, HoD, Math at Apeejay School, Noida, it is important to revise the NCERT mathematics book thoroughly as they are very helpful in strengthening your concepts.

The educator further shares a few tips to ace the exam judiciously:

 ·        Solve CBSE sample papers and previous year’s question papers. It will also make you familiar with the type of questions asked in the board exams and also help you assess yourself.

 ·        Note down important formulas and prioritise the topics that carry higher weightage.

 ·        Use the reading time wisely to skim through the question paper, identify familiar questions, and plan your approach for each section

  ·        In MCQs, write correct answers along with the options.

 ·        Write your answers neatly and legibly. Draw a margin on the right side of the answers for the rough work. Clearly label figures and steps to ensure clarity and easy understanding for the evaluator.

 ·        Given to prove, figure, construction (if any) must be written to prove theorems.

 ·        After completing the paper, if time permits go back and review your answers. Check for any errors, incomplete solutions or missed questions. Make necessary corrections, if needed.

 ·        For problems requiring calculations show all the rough working step by step as marking is done stepwise.

 ·        Allocate time wisely for each section based on the marks assigned. Don’t spend too much time on a question; if stuck, move on and come back later if time permits. ·        Stay Calm and Confident: It is very important to get proper sleep the night before the exam. Stay calm and composed during the exam. Keep a positive attitude and believe in your preparation. Avoid last-minute stress and trust your abilities.
