A mother of a student at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, shares how the school nurtures her daughter’s holistic growth
Tikshya Singal, a class V student at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, is making strides in academics and extracurricular activities alike. In a candid conversation, her mother, Mrs Karishma, opens up about her daughter’s development, her favourite activities, and what makes the school a perfect learning environment.
What new developments have you observed in your child?
Tikhya participates in every curricular activity with great enthusiasm and initiative. What stands out is her conscious effort to balance these activities with academic excellence, which is truly commendable. I am very impressed by her efforts!
So which activity is her favourite?
Dance is her favourite activity. It is her passion and always her go-to thing. However, she doesn’t limit herself to it. Tikshya participates in debates, speeches, and other activities with equal passion.
Her interests in academics?
She is particularly fond of Science and has a very logical mind. Her performance in Math has also been impressive, and she continues to excel in her studies.
Are the teachers making a difference in her growth?
Absolutely. Tikshya has improved significantly in Math, thanks to the teachers’ dedicated efforts. They teach with immense care, affection, and patience. They promptly address doubts and actively work on parent feedback shared during PTMs, which is very reassuring.
Does she enjoy sports?
She isn’t as strong in sports but gives her best effort. Tikshya enjoys playing kho-kho and volleyball, showing her willingness to explore and improve.
How do you find the school environment?
The school maintains a very neat and clean environment. Teachers are proactive and always consider parents’ suggestions. I have met the Principal a few times, and I deeply admire his vision for education and his respectful behaviour toward parents.
What makes Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, a haven for learning?
When Tikshya joined class I, the classes were online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was initially worried about how she would cope, as class I is foundational. However, the teachers were brilliant in conducting interactive and informative online classes. They supported Tikshya immensely, ensuring she adapted and thrived. It never felt like an online setup; it was seamless and engaging.
