‘Stay in My Orbit’: Poem by Ojashvi Sharma, Class X, Apeejay School, Greater Noida

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
I am the golden monarch of the skies
The keeper of dawn and painter of light.
Mountains awaken beneath my gaze
And oceans glitter in my sight.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
I forge the colors of every sunrise,
And Crown the Clouds with molten flame.
The planets dance to my ancient rhythm
For gravity itself knows my name.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
I am older than memory’s first whisper
A furnace where fierce stars are born.
I wear a robe of blazing fire,
And carry the banners of every morn.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
Yet of all the worlds that circle near,
You are the jewel my rays adore.
Blue and green with seas and forests,
A wonder worth protecting evermore.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
Do not mistake my warmth for weakness,
Nor my affection for gentle rain.
The heart that fills your fields with life
Can also summon endless flame.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
Come too close, and your rivers vanish,
Your mountains melt, your forests fade.
The love I give from far away
Would become a burning blade.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
Yet stray not far beyond my light,
Where silent darkness claims the skies.
For though my flames may freighten you,
Your absence is a colder demise.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
These solar flares that crown my brow
Are griefs that blaze yet never cease. I
burn within an endless pyre
And find in your embrace my peace.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
So circle me through ages untold,
neither too distant nor too near.
For love survives in measured space,
Balanced by wisdom, not by fear.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
And while my golden fires endure
I’ll guard your days and light your way.
Shining from afar, I cherish you,
Across the vast celestial.

Stay in my orbit, my beautiful Earth.
