‘AIMETC provided the right platform to prepare for a successful career in Finance and Marketing’

Tushar Guleria, an MBA student with dual specialisation in Finance and Marketing at Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), shares how the institute shaped his academic and professional journey. From gaining practical exposure through the Finance Club to securing multiple placement offers, Tushar reflects on why he chose AIMETC, the role of faculty support, placement preparation strategies, and his aspirations for a successful corporate career.

Why did you choose AIMETC for your education?

I chose AIMETC because of its strong academic environment, industry-oriented approach, and reputation for providing quality education. The institute offers a balanced combination of theoretical learning and practical exposure, which is very important for management students. I was also impressed by the supportive faculty, placement opportunities, and programs that focus on skill development and professional growth. AIMETC provided the right platform to prepare myself for a successful career in Finance and Marketing.

How has AIMETC contributed to your personal and professional growth?

AIMETC has played a significant role in shaping my personality and career goals. Through classroom learning, projects, presentations, and club activities, I developed practical knowledge and professional skills. Working with the Finance Club helped me improve my teamwork and leadership abilities, while faculty mentorship boosted my confidence and career focus. As an active member of the Finance Club, I also coordinated various events and activities, which enhanced my leadership, communication, teamwork, and event management skills.

How was your placement experience at AIMETC?

Receiving multiple placement offers was one of the happiest moments of my MBA journey. I received offers from HDFC Life for the role of Executive Trainee, Mindseekers Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Business Development Associate, and Digimation Flight for a Business Development Internship. It felt rewarding to see my hard work and preparation turn into real opportunities. Moreover, the teachers at AIMETC provided continuous support through the Placement Enhancement Program (PEP). They helped us improve aptitude, communication skills, interview techniques, and overall professional personality. 

How did you prepare for placements?

I focused on improving my aptitude, communication skills, and interview confidence. I regularly practiced common interview questions, worked on my resume, revised important Finance and Marketing concepts, and stayed updated with current affairs. I also completed certifications such as NISM Series V-A, which strengthened my profile. Along with this, I continuously worked on improving my Excel and financial analysis skills to prepare myself for opportunities in the finance and wealth management sector.

What are your future aspirations?

My goal is to build a successful career in the finance and wealth management industry. I aspire to develop expertise in financial advisory, investment products, and client relationship management while continuously upgrading my skills through certifications and practical experience. In the long run, I aim to take on leadership responsibilities and make a meaningful contribution to the financial services sector.

My MBA journey at AIMETC has not only provided academic knowledge but also the confidence, industry exposure, and practical skills required to begin my professional career successfully.
