Charting New Horizons: Alumni illuminate career paths for young minds at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri

Alumni career counselling sessions are essential platforms for bridging the gap between education and the professional world, providing students with a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges ahead. These sessions offer insights beyond textbooks, connecting students with real-life experiences, diverse career options, and invaluable guidance from those who have walked a similar path. By hearing firsthand from accomplished alumni, students are inspired, motivated, and better equipped to make informed decisions about their futures. 

On September 9, 2024, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, hosted an enriching career counselling session with two distinguished alumni, Ms Megha and Mr Nikhil Sangwan, offering invaluable guidance to students for classes VIII to XII. 

Ms Megha, an expert in Biology, captivated the audience with her remarkable academic journey. She completed her BSc from Delhi University and earned an MSc with a Gold medal from Maharshi Dayanand University. At present, she teaches students globally through online platforms from Canada. During the session, she shared her experiences, emphasising perseverance, hard work, and a passion for continuous learning. She encouraged students to remain adaptable and open to new opportunities, reinforcing that success is a journey marked by relentless effort and resilience.

Mr Nikhil Sangwan, a graduate of the 2013 batch and a pilot, shared his dynamic journey in aviation. He highlighted the challenges and rewards of pursuing an aviation career, sparking interest among those passionate about flying. His enthusiasm and determination to achieve his dream deeply resonated with the students, inspiring them to pursue their ambitions without fear or hesitation. Mr Sangwan motivated the audience to remain steadfast in their goals, regardless of the obstacles they may encounter.

The session was highly interactive, with students eagerly participating and posing questions about various career paths, including science, aviation, and online education. Both alumni provided thoughtful responses, sharing practical advice and encouraging students to explore diverse career options confidently. 

Concluding the session, the alumni distributed certificates of appreciation, adding a special touch to the event. Dr Vineet Vasishtha, the Principal of the school expressed his sincere gratitude to Ms Megha and Mr Nikhil Sangwan for their time and efforts in inspiring the students. He commended their accomplishments and extended his blessings for their future endeavors, appreciating their continued connection with the school.

The session proved to be a memorable and inspiring event, leaving students with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to excel in their academic and career pursuits.
