The modern world is run on many things. Philosophers would say kindness, poets would say love but a realist would say finance. And while the former two are crucial for the world in the more abstract sense of being, one certainly cannot deny the immediate importance of finance, numbers and ultimately mathematics.
In the continuous venture to strengthen innovative spirit and creativity
of their students, Apeejay School, Noida has organised yet one more engaging activity that helps in cultivation of a positive attitude towards Math. An intraclass Maths competition – “Tangram Tango” was organised for the students of Class 4 recently.

This competition aimed at the overall development of the budding mathematicians. Each student was given an equal opportunity to participate and submit their initial entries to their respective Maths teacher. Five best entries from each section, making a total of 25 finalists, were shortlisted for the final round.
Students used their creativity and innovative skills to draw/create an illustration using tangram pieces on the theme ‘Spectacular Sports’. Full of zeal and displaying their talent with confidence students enjoyed working on the presentations thoroughly.

The students were judged on the basis of the complexity of figures, visual appeal, neatness and creativity. The competition provided a joyful learning experience to all the participants. The judges appreciated each and every participant for their hard work, diligence and creative expression of ideas.

Nivriti Khemani from class 4-A clinched the first position, while the second position was bagged by Saavi Jain from class 4-E.
