“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” True to this saying, the students of Classes II, III, and IV of Apeejay School, Primary Wing, Sector 15, Faridabad, brought history, learning, and values alive in their special assembly titled Bharat Odyssey: A Journey Through Time.

With remarkable confidence and creativity, the young learners enacted episodes from India’s past, depicting the struggles of freedom and resilience that laid the foundation of a progressive nation. Their performance not only celebrated history but also drew connections with the present and future. The students highlighted the importance of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reminding everyone that building a responsible and inclusive India is a shared responsibility.

The assembly stood out for the way it seamlessly linked three dimensions — India’s glorious past, today’s challenges, and the responsibilities of tomorrow. Through role play, narration, and thought-provoking messages, students conveyed how each individual has a vital role to play in shaping a better world.

Principal of the school, Mrs Snehlata Krishnan, warmly welcomed parents and applauded the efforts of the children. She stressed the importance of guiding young minds on the path of righteousness while instilling empathy, kindness, and integrity as lifelong values. Her words served as an inspiring reminder that education goes beyond academics — it is about nurturing responsible global citizens.

The event also recognised the achievements of students. Winners of the monthly competitions were felicitated with certificates, while high performers in the AQAD (Asset Question A Day) initiative received badges from Mrs Krishnan, and Pre-Primary In-charge, Mrs Gunjan Sharma. This gesture motivated students to think critically and solve problems effectively, encouraging them to keep striving for excellence.

The assembly concluded on an inspiring note, leaving both students and parents motivated to work together for a brighter tomorrow.

The assembly reinforced that true learning happens when children are actively involved. By connecting the lessons of history with present-day global goals and future responsibilities, students realised that they are not just learners of knowledge but also changemakers who can foster positive social impact.
