Sneha Singh from Gurugram is currently working as a Senior Technology Consultant at BeatRoute, a startup that provides goal-driven CRM Sales Force Automation (SFA) software. The Apeejay alumna pursued her BTech degree in Cloud Computing from Apeejay Stya University (ASU). In an interview, she highlights how SFA software meets the needs of companies. Edited excerpts:

In what ways did ASU prepare you for the future? Tell us about your overall experience.

My elder brother did his engineering from Apeejay, so that is how we knew about the institute’s legacy. So, I enrolled at Apeejay Stya University (ASU) to pursue a BTech degree in Cloud Computing. The overall experience at ASU was very good. I enrolled myself in different clubs at the university. I participated in various co-curricular activities and explored my various talents. The college offered me the opportunity to interact with students from different communities who brought their own traditions and perspectives, which further helped me enhance my social skills. More importantly, ASU’s interdisciplinary approach was something that benefitted me a lot. Apart from my core subjects, we had courses on technical communication and other subjects which were attended by students from various other departments. Those sessions were very helpful. Each of the faculty members helped us a lot. They were very interactive and supportive. Not just with academics, they guided us in every other problem that we faced.

Take us through your job role at BeatRoute.

My role involves customer interaction whereby I am required to give them the best technical advice on how they can integrate their system with our software for a seamless flow of data.

In what ways does CRM-SFA software ease business operations?

SFA software is meant to eliminate the traditional and cumbersome pen-and-paper method of maintaining records to achieve retail and B2B goals. It is mostly used by FMCG and Consumer Goods companies. It facilitates effective people management, tracking order bookings, sales, and so on. Through data collection, the software helps in business analysis to find target groups and markets for products to ensure maximum revenue generation. It is used in managing stock items in a store. It further helps in route optimisation of sales representatives through geolocation tracking and geofencing to maximise sales.
