Choosing the right school for a child is a crucial decision for any parent. For Mr. Biradar, the father of Maithili Biradar, a 12th-grade commerce student at Apeejay School, Kharghar, the decision to enroll his daughter in this esteemed institution was guided by recommendations and a commitment to quality education. In a telephonic conversation, Mr. Biradar shared his insights on their journey with Apeejay School, highlighting the school’s role in Maithili’s academic and personal growth.
Read edited excerpts:
What motivated you to choose Apeejay School for Maithili’s education?
We heard about Apeejay from many colleagues whose kids study here. They consistently praised the quality of education, which stands out compared to other schools that often focus on fancy extras. Maithili joined Apeejay in the 11th grade, and we have been pleased with our decision.

How has your experience been with the academic environment at Apeejay School?
Academically, Apeejay has lived up to our expectations. Maithili is in 12th C in the commerce stream, and we have no issues with the curriculum or teaching methods. The transition from 11th to 12th has been smooth, and we are satisfied with the school’s approach.
Are there any extracurricular activities that Maithili participates in at school?
Since she is in 12th grade, Maithili’s focus is primarily on her studies, so she participates in fewer extracurricular activities now. However, she did join some UN competitions, which I encourage because they build stage confidence and enhance communication and people management skills.
How do you find the teaching staff and their approach towards students?
The teachers at Apeejay are excellent. Even though a few have changed, it’s part of the job, and it hasn’t affected the quality of education. The teachers provide good feedback, and we have no concerns. Parent-teacher meetings are straightforward and efficient because there are no major issues to discuss.
Does Maithili require additional tutoring outside of school?
No, Maithili does not need any extra tutoring outside of school. The school’s education is comprehensive enough that we can focus solely on her studies at home, which is crucial during this important year.

How did Maithili adjust to the new school environment when she first joined?
Adjusting to a new school can be challenging, but Maithili adapted quickly. She formed a good circle of friends and participated in various activities. The school trips in 11th grade were particularly helpful for students to bond outside the classroom, which is essential for their overall development.
What are your plans for Maithili’s future after she completes her 12th grade?
After 12th grade, we are considering CFA and CME in the USA for Maithili. The teachers at Apeejay provide excellent guidance, which will be beneficial for Maithili’s future endeavours.
Overall, how do you feel about the support and resources provided by Apeejay School?
We are very appreciative of the efforts made by the school. The teachers are supportive, the curriculum is robust, and the overall environment is conducive to learning. Maithili’s growth both academically and personally has been impressive, and we are confident that Apeejay will continue to support her ambitions.
