‘To study at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld is a family tradition for us’

Kanav Suri is a homemaker and mother of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld (Jalandhar) pre nursery student Shreyansh Suri. Her husband Kushar Suri is a businessman dealing in automobile parts. In an informal interview Mrs Suri mentions how her child is so happy with the school, that he does not wish to come back home. Edited excerpts: 

Why did you choose Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld over other schools in Jalandhar for Shreyansh’s admission?

Actually my husband, brother and nephew have all studied at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld. So we chose this school without considering any other option. This was the first school that came to mind and we went ahead with it for Shreyansh’s admission. To study at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld is a family tradition for us.

Please tell us a bit about Shreyansh and take us through his progress at school?

Shreyansh is a super-active baby. He doesn’t want to come back home when he goes to school. Upon waking up in the morning itself, he tells me “Mumma! I want to go to school! Let’s get ready. Let’s go!” He is very happy to be a part of this school. I feel he is very lucky to get such a good environment and such loving teachers. He is a big fan of his class teacher Pallavi mam. He listens to her more than he listens to me (laughs), Shreyansh is learning well at school. He is very good at painting and dancing.  

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

The teachers are really nice. They take such good care of the students. Whenever I say that Shreyansh is not able to pick up a particular lesson, they help him in everything that he isn’t able to understand. The atmosphere at the school is really good because of the teachers. They come to the main door to drop and pick Shreyansh. As a mother, I feel that is the best thing.

Pallavi Ma’am, the class teacher is too good a teacher. I have no words to express it. I am so happy with her. My child is more connected to her than me. Shreyansh is a very active baby and the teachers enjoy him a lot in the class as well. He loves to dance and entertain everybody. He is a total drama king (laughs)

What is the best thing about the school?

The school doesn’t give only indoor activities to the students. They also give outdoor activities to them thereby giving exposure to the students.

I feel it is the best thing one can give to a child of such a small age. All the students have a good time in the class and in the outdoor activities. The teachers are around all the time to monitor things and help the child. 

How has the experience of the online classes been so far?

The experience of the online classes has been really great. Shreyansh has started to go to the school since February only. The online classes before that were really good. But it was hard to control such a little child at home during the online classes. He enjoyed the activities most in the online classes. It took him a little time for both him and me to  get adjusted to the online classes but gradually we adjusted and Shreyansh started to perform well. He enjoyed the daily prayers a lot in the online classes. He is enjoying the physical classes now and is actively participating in them.
