Kids are our future. They deserve to know the world and the magic that can be found in it. Often, travelling the world beyond time and space, is as easy as reading a book. The power of reading can inspire and motivate us to explore realms beyond reality.

To further this, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld recently held a book fair in the school’s premises. It was inaugurated by a chartered accountant turned author Ms. Apeksha Solanki. Her book ‘GST for the Layman: How It Impacts Your Daily Life’ was published in June, 2020. It is written in a unique conversational format to make it interactive for the readers.

At the event, there were books showcased from all the international authors, suitable for different age groups. From tactile books to musical books, audio phonetic, cloth books and smart-interactive ones, were  found in one space.

Students loved to explore pop up books, fairy tales, sticker books, action and adventure books, as well as those based on augmented reality, rhythm and more. Besides these, the pre-school also made provisions for educational games at the fair. These helped students learn about farm animals, jolly-phonics, sounds and themes like community helpers and magnetic letters.

Educators in the school also took story sessions, DIY craft, riddles and quizzes for the tiny tots. Ms. Solanki was overwhelmed to see an array of books on display for the little ones. She said, “A writer only begins a book, a reader finishes it.”

The school also invited a nutritionist at the event to educate parents on how to help improve the eating habits of their little ones. People from across the city turned up at this stellar show which was a grand success.

“Reading is a passport to countless adventures.”
