Summer is the time for learning new things, making more friends and creating memories. By acquiring different skills in this time, one often exudes greater confidence in their abilities. This year, the summer camp at Rhythms Kinderworld offers a wide variety of activities to make learning fun.

With a bundle full of activities to enhance creativity, speech, linguistic power, students between the ages 2-8 are allowed to explore their talents at the camp. Learning effective, clear communication through poetry, reading aloud, drama games, performances and improvisation are set to spark their imagination and charisma. With this, children will learn ethics such as empathy, patience along with improving their interpersonal skills.

Fear of public speaking and anxiety being the centre focus, students are provided a platform to face their fears and express themselves in a safe environment. This will boost their confidence and encourage them to think out of the box, take risks and experiment with new strategies with their peers. Children are led to work in groups to explore and collaborate without any fear of the public eye. Dr. Sriparna Pathak says, “My daughter Sujata really liked the summer camp! There, she learnt a number of rhymes.”

A systematic, sequential, phonics programme designed to teach children to read and write. Jolly Phonics are being taught at the camp in an enjoyable, multisensory way. It will enable children to read and write words. Scratch, a visual programming language to create interactive stories, games and animations has been put in place to get students to think creatively and reason systematically.

With Just Dance, the child is given a platform for movement of the body in a rhythmic way. It releases their energy and helps express an idea or emotion. Not only that, it increases sensory and spatial awareness, coordination, concentration and mobility. In the summer camp, dance forms such as Hip- Hop, Jazz, Ballet and Acrobatic are taught to make children groove to the tunes of songs. Arts and Crafts being an integral tool in the development of a child fuels curiosity, creativity and provides them with an outlet to observe, express, explore, excel.

“Summer Camp is about growth and accomplishment. Every day is a new adventure sparking imaginative play and pushing boundaries of learning with loads and loads of fun-filled, engaging and interactive activities.”
