Innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development are buzzwords in today’s globally and rapidly evolving job market. New jobs have arisen and specialised knowledge on data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things is the need of the hour.

Thus, educational institutes are providing students with entrepreneurship and skill development training that will enhance their overall development and prepare them for the global job market.

With an aim to provide the same, Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Institute for Industrial Development (IID). Apeejay is a seat of global learning that offers rich opportunities for innovative teaching-learning, creativity, and research across disciplines. On the other hand, IID is an incubator under the public-private partnership with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Samadhan Samiti. It primarily discharges its responsibilities for online and offline training of entrepreneurship development.

Through this collaboration, both ASU and IID target to nurture key contemporary skills as well as build entrepreneurial acumen among the students. While Apeejay  is more focused on their key area of education, IID is focused on entrepreneurship development, skill development and providing industrial knowledge to create industry-ready youths.

Both the bodies are working towards designing and developing online workshops, EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Programme) training material, Industrial Readiness Program (IRP) through online portal and mobile apps.

To access the training programme, students can enroll themselves on  IID portal (iid.org.in) and entrepreneur India Live apps for online Entrepreneurship Development training and nurturing with various industrial processes.

“With the global job market evolving at a fast pace, organisations and employers are preferring to hire employees who possess new-age skills that will not just add to their career growth but also benefit the organisation. We are glad to have partnered with IID and together we aim to provide good opportunities to the youth to learn relevant skills. The goal is to enhance their prospects of employability in whichever sector they aspire to join.”
