Many parents feel a sense of excitement and pride when sending their young children to school. Considering it marks a significant milestone in their child’s life, they look forward to the learning experiences, new friendships, and growth that the school offers. My child has also climbed onto the same bandwagon of fostering newer growth opportunities, shares Neha Garg whose daughter Anika studies in Class I at Apeejay School, Charkhi dadri.

 Excerpts from the interview.

Why did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

I selected Apeejay for my daughter because this school is in the vicinity of my home, this factor is always helpful for parents. Moreover, my relatives and extended family have also studied at the same school. So I am assured of the school’s reputation very well.

How are the teachers here?

I have had the most wonderful experience with all the teachers here. From helping my young one in adjusting to making her learn the alphabet and poems, I have seen a distinguished growth in my daughter. Most of the teachers here are also available over the phone as and when required.

What are the best techniques used by the teachers here?

I particularly admire the technique where teachers teach the alphabet to students using AV mediums. This helped my daughter hone his speaking skills and I felt so happy watching that. Since right now Anika is quite young, teachers understand that activities and games based on learning will help her more.

What positive changes have you seen in your son so far?

My daughter has become much more confident and cheerful since the time she started going to school. At first, she used to often throw tantrums and cry at the name of going to school, but within three years, she now looks forward to going to school excitedly and getting dressed on her own in the morning.

How is the balance between extracurricular activities and studies?

The sports facility at this school is worth a mention. My daughter enjoys games like sprinting and football at this school. The class timetable has an even number of PT periods too and the school follows the maxim – all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

How often do you interact with your son about school?

My daughter shares so many happy incidents from school daily. She will narrate about all the playful activities she participated in and what she learnt from them. Watching Anika grow and develop a honed personality is a proud moment for me.

Do you believe in the adage: School is the second home for a child?

I agree with this adage 100 percent. The school has been taking care of my six-year-old similar to how a home provides a safe and comfortable learning environment. Apeejay is designed to facilitate effective learning with classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and extracurricular activities.
