When you are on the way to selecting a school for your child, selecting an institute that emphasises secularism and offers a conducive learning environment is essential. Such schools play a pivotal role in fostering a deep understanding and respect for diverse cultural beliefs and religions. A shining example of such a school is Apeejay Svran Global School, located in Faridabad – Sector 21 D.

‘This school is committed to following a secular approach, whatever religion you may follow,” says Pritpal Singh, father of Rubani Kaur studying in UKG at Apeejay Svran Global School. In an impromptu interview, the father highlights the school’s dedication to providing an inclusive and equitable experience for overall development.

Why did you choose this school for your daughter?

Based on the strong recommendation of a close colleague, whose children are at present studying at this Apeejay branch, I chose this school for my child. Both his kids have shown notable improvement over the years. Hence, we too opted to enroll Rubani in the same school.

Was the admission process smooth?

Extremely smooth. There was one teacher who helped us with the entire process and she also gave a tour of the school and showed us the infrastructure. We were very satisfied and convinced by looking at the school environment. From the kid zone to classes and the sports ground, everything was promising. We don’t regret our decision even for a second.

Is your daughter active in extracurricular activities?

She actively engages in various activities offered by her teachers, including participation in Olympiads and Spell bees. Recently, Rubani also took part in the morning Assembly. She often participates in sports and dance competitions as well organised by the school.

What do you appreciate the most about this school?

The small class size at this school, allows teachers to provide personalised attention, unlike other schools where there are more than 30 students in a class. At such places, the attention is mostly divided which makes it difficult for students to cope well. I still remember the words of the teacher when we dropped Rubani off at school on her first day — “Just drop your child here, and from now onwards, it’s my responsibility,” the teacher said. The teacher has consistently upheld this commitment.

How do you spend quality time with your daughter?

As soon as she comes back from school, I generally ask her about how her day was. This encourages her to share all-day activities at school. Our quality time together involves engaging in indoor games. On the weekends, I take her out to help her learn about things outside school such as flora and fauna, animals, historical sites, and much more.
