The school held a special assembly on the joy of giving 

Events like special assemblies are vital in nurturing a culture of empathy, kindness, and compassion among students. By emphasising the importance of giving, these events help shape well-rounded individuals who understand the value of sharing and contributing positively to society. 

Recently, the Akbar and Ashoka Houses students at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park hosted a heartwarming assembly on the theme – The Joy of Giving – in the auditorium. This event aimed to spread awareness about the profound joy that comes from selflessly giving to others. The assembly was graced by proud parents, who eagerly watched their children shine while delivering the powerful message of generosity and compassion.

The event began with a soulful school prayer, followed by an uplifting thought for the day, the word of the day, and the latest news updates. The students then captivated the audience with a melodious group song, setting a positive tone for the assembly. This was followed by an evocative English poem that beautifully conveyed the feelings of satisfaction and fulfilment derived from the act of giving.

To inspire further, a short play was presented, illustrating the impactful outcomes of kindness and generosity. The programme peaked with an enchanting dance performance that left the audience in awe. To wrap up the assembly, an interactive quiz session engaged the students, reinforcing the values of compassion and altruism. The event concluded with a spirited rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism in all attendees.

The assembly proved to be a grand success, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. The students not only enjoyed the performances but also learnt that the true essence of life lies in the joy of giving to others.
