Excerpts from the interview
Tell us about yourself.
I am an advocate. My practices primarily encompass the Supreme Court, High Court, and District Courts. The virtual platform has become an indispensable and flexible tool that allows me to efficiently represent my clients and engage in legal proceedings from a distance.
Can you share some insights on how Apeejay School has shaped your career?
The school played a pivotal role in moulding the person I have become today. The exceptional teachers at the school have provided invaluable guidance in a truly remarkable manner. Moreover, the teachers’ unwavering support enhanced my educational journey.
What are the challenges in law, and how did you overcome them?
Embarking on a career as an advocate, particularly in litigation, often comes with various initial hurdles that can be demanding and even thankless. The journey can be marked as minimal rewards and appreciation for your dedicated work. However, for me, this early phase proved to be a valuable learning experience. It helped me navigate the twists and turns that come with this profession. Today, I stand as an independent practitioner with over seven years of experience in the field. My practice predominantly centres in Delhi-NCR, and at times pan India.
Share some fond memories of your school days.
My school years were adorned with incredible memories. Had it not been for my friends, I might not have even remembered anything other than indulging in academics. Throughout my life, I’ve adhered to the principle of keeping my social circle small, valuing quality over quantity. Maybe that is why I am still in touch with many of my school friends even a decade after graduation. Truly fortunate to be a part of Apeejay School.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that is yet to come in your industry in a decade?
The realm of independent advocacy brings a unique set of circumstances, cases, and clients on an everyday basis. As an independent attorney, the upcoming challenge can be fraught with uncertainty. One of the most intricate challenges faced in this line of work is the demanding task of handling numerous clients simultaneously.
Any latest technology that you have been using?
Technology has become an integral part of our practice. We no longer solely rely on traditional methods but seamlessly integrate gadgets like iPads and laptops into our daily routines. Using these gadgets has transformed our plan to manage cases and argue in court. Using the traditional method of carrying files or using iPads in the court differs from case to case. As we advocate for our clients, we leverage the power of technology to streamline our processes and enhance our ability to represent effectively.
