Students of Apeejay School, Model Town shine at the culinary championship

Young chefs showcase innovation, teamwork, and presentation skills at Level 1 of the Young India Culinary Championship

Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, successfully hosted Level 1 of the Young India Culinary Championship, providing students of Grades IX to XII with an exciting platform to explore their passion for food, creativity and culinary arts.

The championship brought together young culinary enthusiasts who showcased their talent, confidence and enthusiasm through a diverse range of thoughtfully prepared dishes. Participants demonstrated their skills across Modern Western, Asian and Indian main-course cuisines, presenting innovative recipes that reflected both creativity and an understanding of different culinary traditions. 

With enthusiasm and attention to detail, the students transformed their culinary ideas into appealing dishes. From selecting ingredients and planning recipes to preparing and presenting their creations, every stage of the competition encouraged students to apply their knowledge in a practical and engaging setting. Their skilful preparation, innovative combinations and thoughtful presentation highlighted their growing culinary expertise.

Beyond cooking, the championship provided valuable opportunities for students to develop essential life skills. Working through the challenges of the competition encouraged them to demonstrate teamwork, time management, confidence, creativity and presentation skills. The experience also helped them appreciate the importance of planning, precision and perseverance while working in a competitive environment.

The event reflected the school’s emphasis on experiential learning, enabling students to move beyond conventional classroom experiences and discover their strengths through hands-on activities. The championship also encouraged participants to experiment with ideas, embrace creativity and develop a deeper appreciation for the culinary arts.
