With the festive season in full swing, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, came alive with vibrant colours and artistic energy as it hosted its much-awaited Inter-House Rangoli Making Competition. Rangoli, a traditional art form considered a harbinger of good luck, became the perfect canvas for students to showcase their creativity while embracing a meaningful theme: Sustainable Development.
Celebrating Creativity and Teamwork
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of all four houses – Vivekanand, Kabir, Gautam, and Nanak. Each team brought its unique flair to the floor, using eco-friendly materials to craft intricate designs that were not only visually stunning but also carried messages of environmental awareness. Judges praised the students’ imagination, attention to detail, and, importantly, their ability to collaborate effectively within their teams.
A highlight of the event was how thoughtfully the participants integrated sustainability into their creations. From using natural colours and recycled materials to incorporating motifs symbolising conservation and harmony with nature, the students turned their Rangoli designs into small yet powerful statements about caring for the environment.

Results of the Competition
The judges had a challenging task, but the results were a reflection of both creativity and execution:
1st Position: Vivekanand House
2nd Position: Nanak House
3rd Position: Gautam House
4th Position: Kabir House
The winning team, Vivekanand House, impressed with their balanced combination of innovative patterns and sustainable materials, earning them the top spot. Nanak and Gautam Houses also received appreciation for their effort and dedication, while Kabir House demonstrated commendable teamwork and festive enthusiasm.

A Celebration of Festivity and Responsibility
Beyond competition, the event was a beautiful reflection of togetherness, celebration, and responsible creativity. It reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent while sensitising students to important social and environmental themes. The Rangoli Making Competition left students, teachers, and judges alike with colourful memories and a renewed sense of festive joy, proving once again that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand.
