Scouting inspires students to lead with discipline and service

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri organises an engaging training programme for Classes VI–VIII, fostering leadership, teamwork and responsible citizenship

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, organised an enriching Scout and Guide Training Programme for students of Classes VI to VIII. The session aimed to instil discipline, leadership, teamwork, confidence and the spirit of selfless service among young learners.

The programme was conducted by Mr. Pawan Kumar, an experienced Scouts Trainer, who was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Dr. Vineet Vasishtha. Encouraging students to participate enthusiastically, the Principal highlighted the importance of making the most of such experiential learning opportunities.

During the interactive session, Mr. Pawan Kumar introduced students to the philosophy and objectives of the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement. He explained how scouting plays an important role in developing responsibility, patriotism, physical fitness, confidence and essential life skills. Through engaging examples and practical demonstrations, he familiarised students with the significance of discipline, teamwork, community service, environmental conservation, first aid and leadership.

The trainer also shared insights into the various opportunities available to Scouts and Guides, including camps, adventure activities, social service initiatives and national-level events. He emphasised values such as honesty, courage, cooperation and respect, inspiring students to become responsible and active members of society.

An engaging doubt-clearing session followed, with students raising questions about uniforms, badges, camps, scouting activities and future opportunities. Mr. Pawan Kumar addressed their queries patiently, making the session informative and interactive.

The programme became even more exciting with an impressive music band performance and parade demonstration. The synchronised movements, rhythmic beats and disciplined formations showcased the importance of coordination and teamwork, leaving the students captivated.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vasishtha appreciated the trainer’s efforts and emphasised that scouting is much more than an extracurricular activity. He stated that it is a meaningful way to build character, leadership and responsible citizenship. “The Scout and Guide movement plays a significant role in shaping disciplined, responsible and compassionate individuals. Such training instils leadership, teamwork, self-reliance and a spirit of service, preparing students to face life challenges with confidence. I appreciate Mr. Pawan Kumar for conducting such an inspiring session and motivating our students. I encourage every learner to embrace the ideals of scouting and contribute positively to society through dedication, discipline and sincere service to the nation.”

The programme concluded on an inspiring note, motivating students to embrace the values of service, discipline, integrity and teamwork and strive to become confident, compassionate and responsible citizens.
