Young learners of Apeejay School, Noida, celebrate the importance of water
The Show and Tell Competition on the theme of Water was organised for the enthusiastic learners of Balvatika 3, Apeejay School, Noida, providing them with a vibrant platform to express their thoughts, showcase their creativity, and strengthen their communication skills. The event was filled with excitement as the young participants confidently came forward to present interesting objects and share meaningful ideas related to water.
With expressive voices, confident gestures, and infectious enthusiasm, the children captivated the audience with their engaging presentations. Each participant spoke about different aspects of water, highlighting its importance in our daily lives and its numerous uses. Their thoughtful presentations reflected their growing awareness of the need to use water responsibly and protect this invaluable natural resource.
The activity was meaningfully integrated with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) – Clean Water and Sanitation, introducing the young learners to the significance of clean and safe water in an age-appropriate manner. Through their presentations, the children learnt simple yet important lessons about avoiding water wastage, keeping water sources clean, and adopting responsible habits to conserve water.
Beyond enhancing their understanding of environmental conservation, the competition also encouraged the development of essential skills such as vocabulary, public speaking, listening, self-expression, and confidence. The opportunity to speak before an audience helped the children overcome hesitation and communicate their ideas with greater clarity and enthusiasm.
The Show and Tell Competition thus emerged as a joyful and purposeful learning experience, blending creativity with environmental awareness. It encouraged the young learners to become more mindful of their responsibility towards nature while empowering them to express themselves confidently.
