Bhawana G Dullu (47) and her husband Shailendra Dullu run a company that deals in cosmetics and perfumes. She is happy and satisfied that her son Paarth Dullu is studying in Class -9 at Apeejay School, Noida and is assured that his future will be bright after schooling from here.
Tell us a little about your son, Paarth?
Paarth is a different child at home and in school. This is what I feel after getting reviews about him. He is a brat at home, whereas he is the most disciplined student who follows each and every instruction of his teachers in school. He is a bright kid who is good in academics as well as co-curricular activities. He has been a school house captain, a class monitor for 2-3 years as well.
He has participated in many competitions. Last year he won an online photography competition organised by the school. He has participated in many stage shows in schools for activities such as dramatics, dance etc. He is missing his school these days.
Apart from academics what is he good at?
He is fond of playing football. Apeejay School, Noida offers the Bhaichung Bhutia Football Programme early in the morning. He was taking coaching from there. He loves to dance. He is fond of karate but he is yet to learn that. He loves swimming and he is missing it owing to the lockdown.
Are you satisfied with Apeejay School, Noida?
Yes I am. My child looks forward to going to school. It means he is happy studying there. Apeejay is a very student-friendly institute. The teachers here are very approachable. If my child doesn’t understand something, the teachers are just a call away. In our times, we thought twice before raising our hand to ask our query from the teachers, but here at Apeejay the setup is so nice that a child feels comfortable to ask anything. The teachers are very supportive and adaptable. Even if I have to ask anything, they are always welcoming.
One thing I would like to appreciate about Apeejay is that earlier we had to pay quarterly fees, but now they have given the option for monthly fees. As a parent, this is a very good initiative.
Any personality traits that Paarth has developed thanks to his school?
The value-based education provided by Apeejay since the primary classes is quite appreciable. We have been associated with the school since 2011, when Paarth joined Nursery. He has learnt the values and morals to become a good human being. It feels proud when my child gives respect and love to elders. He is very helpful and friendly with everyone around.
At Apeejay, he developed a habit of reading. He has become expressive and confident.
How are your relations with Apeejay?
My sister is also a teacher at Apeejay. She also had done her schooling from Apeejay. My brother is also an alumnus of Apeejay. He too is well settled in his life. We are more than satisfied as our bond with Apeejay has been there since generations. That was the prime reason why we enrolled our child in this school.
Has Apeejay handled the pandemic well?
Yes. Very well. I would like to give full marks to the teachers. I am sure many of them were internet savvy, but the way Apeejay has started online classes immediately is commendable. Apeejay group was very much pro-active. When Covid started, we didn’t know how long it would stay. Many schools started the online classes very late.
I remember, the children in my neighbourhood were sitting idle at home after the schools were closed post the pandemic outbreak. But Apeejay immediately started the online classes. The management and the teachers were pro-active and made sure that students’ studies should not get hampered.
Would you recommend the school to others?
Of course… the infrastructure at Apeejay is very good. The teachers are well-experienced and cooperative. The school is good in both academics and extracurricular activities. Above all this, I am a happy parent.
“The management at Apeejay gives us equal importance. They listen to our feedback and act upon it.”
