The National Testing Agency has released an important advisory for candidates applying for the UGC-NET June 2026, urging them to complete the application and fee payment process within the stipulated deadline. The agency clarified that only applications for which the examination fee has been successfully paid will be treated as complete and accepted for the examination.
In its latest notice, the agency advised students yet to finish the registration process to carefully fill out and submit their online application forms without delay. Candidates have also been instructed to keep a copy of the confirmation page after successfully submitting the form and paying the fee, as it may be required for future reference during the examination process.
The advisory further stressed the importance of checking all details carefully before making the final payment. According to the agency, no corrections or modifications will be permitted once the fee has been submitted. Applicants have therefore been asked to verify every piece of information entered in the form to avoid discrepancies later.
Students have specifically been advised to pay close attention to details such as their name, parents’ names, category, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) status, difficulty in writing status, requirement of a scribe, selected subject, and preferred examination city choices. Any incorrect information entered during the registration process may lead to complications in the future.
The agency reiterated that successful payment of the examination fee is a mandatory condition for completing the application process. Merely filling out the form without completing the payment process will not be considered a valid application for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination.
Candidates have also been encouraged to regularly check the official UGC-NET website for the latest updates, notifications, and important announcements related to the examination schedule and procedures. The advisory comes as thousands of aspirants across the country continue to register for the national-level examination conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and Junior Research Fellowship opportunities.
