Little artists of Apeejay School, Noida embark on a creative “Shape Safari”

A simple shape can become almost anything when viewed through the eyes of a child. Demonstrating this boundless imagination, the Grade 1 students enthusiastically participated in the Shape Safari Competition. This engaging activity provided young learners an opportunity to explore their creativity and transform basic shapes into imaginative works of art.

The competition invited students to experiment with different shape cut-outs and use them to create beautiful and unique pictures. What began as simple geometric forms soon turned into colourful and creative compositions as the children gave free rein to their imagination. Through their individual creations, the young participants demonstrated that creativity is often about looking at familiar things from a different perspective.

The activity created an exciting learning environment in which students could combine art, imagination and visual thinking. Instead of simply recognising shapes as classroom concepts, they explored how different forms could be arranged and combined to represent objects, characters, scenes and ideas.
